By having a familiar, across program warm up, any player from all levels can get the same warm up and skill practice as the next.
A consistent warm-up routine can help players get into the right mindset for the practice or game, boost confidence, and reduce pre-game anxiety. It also provides a familiar routine that can help with muscle memory and focus.
This can be tailored to half ice or 3/4 ice if needed using center ice and zone face-off circles.
SET UP:
All skaters line up on one end of the ice. Faster, more experienced skaters should be in the front of the line. Goalies - in the back.
RUN IT:
Follow the face off circles by working on the edges as you make your way around, moving from one to the other, the length of the ice.
You can start without pucks, then have them bring pucks with them, all depends on your players ability level.
