Began my hockey coaching career as an assistant to youth hockey in the house league program. Advanced to become the head coach for a youth team, which I still coach for each season as our son ages up.
Joined the Carolina Hurricanes Warriors, a member of the USA Hockey Warriors program for disabled military veterans, as an assistant coach for the program. Became the head coach of the White / Lower Tier team as well as an evaluator of new team members.
With 28 years in Emergency Service work, I have a passion for the safety of players and coaches. I have taught and advised on medical interventions and actions at ice rinks, as well as made presentations on concussions, lacerations, and mental health.
