It’s a simple but highly effective strong-side breakout drill that puts a big emphasis on communication. Each player is required to call the play to the puck carrier, reinforcing awareness and teamwork.

There are a lot of key skills being developed within this drill, including puck retrievals, timing, passing, communication, and overall breakout execution.

Dwayne also builds in progressions to increase the difficulty, allowing you to adapt the drill based on your team’s level and keep players challenged as they improve.
