Breakdown from last night’s OT winner

Tampa’s D lose communication early, no support on the play and both guys overcommit to the front of the net. That forces the strong-side winger to overcompensate, dropping way too low trying to protect the middle and keep Montreal to the outside.

Problem is… that leaves the point completely open.

Now it turns into a scramble. Late rotation, panic coverage, traffic builds in front of the goalie—and that’s all Montreal needs.

Small breakdown → chain reaction → game over.

Hockey is a game of details.
