Jesse Candela is the Head Coach of the Hespeler Shamrocks U11A, Assistant Coach with the Cambridge Jr. Redhawks U16 AAA, Regional Scout for the Georgetown Raiders (OJHL), Scout for the Trail Smoke Eaters (BCHL), and former Video Coordinator for the Estonia U18 National Team. He combines high-level player evaluation, video analysis, and performance insights with a passion for grassroots player development.

After eight years coaching U Sports football at the University of Waterloo, Jesse transitioned into hockey with a focus on developing hockey IQ, decision-making, habits, and communication in ways that are engaging and easy for young athletes to understand.

His work connects video, player evaluation, and coaching—using real game situations to help players and coaches better understand the details that influence performance. Through his articles, scouting reports, and coaching resources, Jesse shares practical lessons from the rink, offering simple, actionable ideas that coaches can immediately apply with their own teams.

His goal is to help coaches create positive learning environments, develop smarter and more confident players, and inspire a lifelong passion for the game.
