This warm up is helpful when running multiple levels on the ice, and have a limited space to work in. It is designed to get the heart rates up and get the players moving about with passing and shooting. And, it helps to warm up the goalies!
This can be done half ice, full ice, or even as a small drill in the neutral zone.
SET UP:
Goalie in net, and a couple of shooters to warm them up.
Even pairs along the boards, 2 lines spread apart based on skill level.
RUN IT:
On the whistle, shooters begin warming up the goalie.
Pairs begin with soft passes to each other, after each pass, Outside line rotates one to down in a clockwise motion to the next lane, end shooter sprints behind the net to the opposite side.
Once you have run all of the outside players around and are back to their original slot, send group to take place of the shooters at goal, and swap positions so all can be passers on the go.
