Setup nets back to back on redline

Each team will setup on line on each side of the net opposite of each other.  The player in the front of the line is setup to support the 2on2 play

Teams play 2v2 in between the blue line and can score in either net.

Teams must pass to a support line to become active to score

Support player can either pass to its own team or shoot on the net.

If teams scores then coach pass new puck in to the team that scored (make it take it)  If a puck leaves the game area or out of bounce, then coach determines who played it out of bounce and gives it to the other teams support line.

Small area games focus is around high tempo quick plays with good passes and moving to open ice.  The defending team focus on good sticks and staying on open player.  This game creates a lot of transition hockey, - offense player with the puck, offense player without the puck, defense player defending the puck carrier and defense player defending the player without of the puck.  Players should learn how to transition from role to role to develop hockey IQ.
