Why dump it in if you don't have to? 

When it comes to scoring goals, one of the most important places on the ice is the six feet inside the blue line in the offensive zone. The first objective of every team should be to score off the rush. Sure, sometimes the puck will go deep and you'll need to start the cycle or offensive zone play to get opportunities, but building a dangerous rush attack is frightening for the opponent. 

Daniel Broberg's course 7 Steps From Basic Skills to Smooth Power works on a lot of edge control, but it's up to you as a coach to incorporate it somewhere on the ice. So let's use that offensive blue line as a guide. These exercises have countless progressions, but the key is to grab the line and then use the edges to make life difficult for opposing defencemen. 

Simply start at the red line, gain speed, and then get creative.
