Description
- Start with forwards on the hash marks in one zone, D in the neutral zone
- On the whistle a forward leaves with a pass to the close D who one-touches back to the forward
- Forward routes are predetermined, there are lots of options
- After the first D moves the puck, they jump and enter the zone
- Whatever the progression is, players enter the zone for a shot on net with traffic driving the middle of the ice on the zone entry
Key Points
- Get players comfortable communicating their routes
- Watch for hand placement on the stick when passing the puck
