Hockey has always been a passion of mine and my family. I have been fortunate enough to have coached minor hockey for the past eight years with some success. Over these years I have been able to grow as a father, coach and give back to the community I grew up in. As I mature as a coach, taking on more responsibilities I have always thought about where this could take me and what my life could look like as a hockey coach. The Coaches Site has been a curtial tool in my sucess and growth as a coach and, in my role in development.

From the start of the season, our players knew we had a good chance at provincials agains and carried the culture from last season with more importance. Again, we finished the regular season first overall and looked for our chance to win the provincial champion again. Another story book ending where we met Ennismore, the team that has beat us the last three years in a row, in the provincial finals. Ending the season with a record of 25/07/03, we won provincials for the third time in 7 years. The final game ended 2-1 in overtime

Coming out of the pandemic, everyone was excited to get back to playing a "normal" season. At the start of the season, our only goal was to get the players playing competitive hockey again. We finished the regular season first overall for the fifth year in a row and had a record of 25/03/05 but lost in the provincial finals. Although we were close to our third provincial championship with a great team meeting where our players expressed thanks and how important our team was to them.

Due to the pandemic, we did not have any league play. We were however able to play 4v4. We took all players that would have been at our training camp and split them into four teams of 10 players. We organized two ice times, once a week with refs and time keepers for these players to keep playing. We kept track of the wins and loses and tried to keep the game as competitive as possible while providing the players to meet and have fun during a difficult time.

Coming into this season, we felt a new sense of drive and looked for redemption. With mostly a new team, we finished the season first overall again and was looking at another shot at the provincial championship. We finished the season with record of 22/17/01. Meeting a new power house and loosing in the finals for the second year in a row

In my third year coaching with two previous provincial championships, we had our eyes on a provincial "three-peat". We made it though the season, finishing first overall for the second season in a row and met Amherstburg in the provincial finals where we lost. Finishing the season with a record of 22/08/05, this was the first time in almost three seasons our players were met with adversity. We found that due to our previous success, we had a difficult time focusing on our flaws. 'Hard work will always beat talent when talent doesn't work hard" was a perfect quote to sum up the outcome of our season. Although we had a great season and maintained our position as one of the best times in our league, this loss was hard to swallow.

Coming off a provincial championship season, we had high expectations. The season prior was difficult and filled with ups and downs. This season however was the opposite. With only three losses we finished the season 33/03/01 and won back to back provincial championship along with two tournament championships. Almost a flawless season.

A cinderella story of a season. We started out with 5 straight losses, followed by 6 straight ties. After a heart felt mid season team meeting, the players turned it around. We then went to the finals of our international SilverStick Tournament and won 13 straight games going into playoffs. The season ended with a heroic win in the provincial finals against Erie who had won provincials the prior 4 years in a row. This was the teams first provincial Championship in 30 years, finishing with a 22/10/07 record
