Wiedler was named Interim Head Coach at Vermont on July 18 after serving as an assistant coach for the previous three seasons. At Vermont Wiedler has been responsible for the defenseman and penalty kill. Last season the Catamounts finished 15th in the NCAA on the PK. In 18 games last season Vermont didn't give up a goal while shorthanded.
