Tight Turn Technique is a great drill for teaching turns. Make sure to reinforce proper stance and posture.
Description
Players spread sticks out in the zone and coach ensures proper spacing to avoid collisions.
Players complete single turns at the top of the sticks to practice turning technique.
At the bottom of the stick they stop. Turn around and complete a turn at the top of the stick in the opposite direction.
Key Points
Work on approach to tight turn:
- Drop low, outside edge of inside foot
- Feet slightly staggered, feet shoulder width apart
- Outside foot on inside edge
- Inside shoulder high (counter weight)
