Puck Handling Technique helps players to practice their fakes. Encourage players to be deceptive with their dekes.
Description
Half the players spread sticks out in the zone and coach ensures proper spacing to avoid collisions. Those players then take a knee on the exterior of the drill.
Players complete a move at the sticks by using their sculling and narrow puck handling.
On the other side of the stick they stop, turn around and complete a move on the stick in the opposite direction.
On the whistle players switch roles by changing whose stick is on the ice.
Make sure players practice making movies in both directions.
