Stationary Passing is used to work on pass fundamentals. Encourage players to be in their hockey stance and build on their puck control basics.

Description

Players line up on either side of the area facing their partner.

Taking turns they pass the puck back and forth practicing various passing techniques.

Different progressions can be used:

  1. Forehand passes
  2. 2 Passes
  3. One touch passes
  4. Fake to Pass
  5. Backhand Pass

Add difficulty as needed.

Key Points

Ensure players use proper passing technique:

  • Using heel of stick
  • Push and pull with hands
  • Follow through with bottom hand
