More great examples of shooting and scoring with a limited release.

I’m sure you’ve all seen the coaches who are demanding a FULL/HIGH follow through on every shot✖️

In a perfect world, players would have unlimited time and space to load up their best shot, but in all reality players are more often forced to get their shots off from small pockets with the walls closing in quickly.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with continuing with a full follow through and hitting shin pads or sticks, but as you’ll see in the videos, sometimes there’s no contact with the opponent. The shooter simply uses a short or low release, which can still propel the puck with enough power to score from close range.

The most important factor is RANGE, utilizing different weapons for different ranges is key. A policeman doesn’t carry a rifle around the streets, and a hunter doesn’t select a pistol.

We also know that 75% of all goals are scored from below the top of the circles, so what shot/weapon is most effective?🤔
