Beyond simply understanding that a stick flexes, players need to recognize - where and how that flex occurs. Different areas of the shaft can flex and respond differently during a shot.
As a shooting coach, part of my job is to help players identify these specific flex points and, more importantly - feel them in action. Connecting what they see and understand with what they physically feel helps players recognize how puck impact, pressure, and technique can influence the performance of their stick - and ultimately, their shot.
