7 Steps From Basic Skills to Smooth Power is primarily focused on skating, of course, but it's rewarding to see the progress players make in their puckhandling habits while they're working on their posture, balance, and agility.

The course was designed to reinforce skating habits while bringing puck skills along for the ride. The stronger the posture, the smoother the puck skills, right?

Here's a practice plan that starts players off with slow, purposeful edge control exercises. The key for Daniel (and for you!) is always posture. Push the shins into the tongues of the skates and feel the entire blade connect with the ice. Don't cheat the turns, either. Tell your players to hold as long as they can so they maximize their time under tension.

See the entire course here.

Check out the clip from chapter 2 that works on jumps, balance, and smooth control. Full practice plan is below as well!
