Skaters begin cycling behind the net looking for a puck rimmed down the wall. Instruction is to keep top elbow high to flatten the blade of the stick, Tip of stick tight to the wall, stiff/strong stick to receive the puck, stick in front of body to create kick out of puck in front of the body allowing the skater to keep momentum moving forward.

Skaters should not stop feet and body to wait for puck to meet them along the wall. Emphasis on skating into the puck and using technique to maintain forward speed and possession.

During transition work with the puck, emphasis is on keeping vision up as much as possible, transitioning from forward to backwards with as much speed and control as possible.

End drill with net drive and quick shooting.
