- 3 F's from each color start below the dotted line. 2 D's from each color start in the space above the dotted line.
- 3v3, score on either net. -Have to use either D on transition before you can score.
- As soon as puck is passed to D, highest F must skate to high box area to either cover for D or become a high shot option. D can pass, shoot, or skate into zone.
- If D enters zone, D makes play offensively and then gets back to box area. Once D gets back to box, F cycles back in. Opposing color D can't defend. They are just waiting to be activated by a pass from their forwards.
*This game encourages offensive zone movement. D get comfortable going down into the offensive zone to make plays and F's get comfortable playing high in the offensive zone. It reinforces good offensive zone movement habits- the highest forward needs to have awareness and skate into the high part of the zone once a pass is made to the D and the D has to check to make sure a forward is in the high zone before they make the decision to skate into the low part of the zone. Scoring on either net encourages the devleopment of creativity, vision, and hockey sense.*
