What's interesting is where it shows up. Every player on the ice will move better, faster, and more efficiently when they're comfortable on their edges. These examples highlight defencemen in the offensive zone. Watch how they use their inside edges to manipulate defenders to move the puck to open space. These are slight, subtle changes from forwards to backwards or outside edge to inside edge, but the control, flow, and eventual power opens up passing options and eventually creates offence.
