Becoming a coach can be a mixture of emotions. There is excitement to get going, meet the players, and start working on building a cohesive unit to be competetive over the season. However, it can also be overwhelming because you don't know where to start or what drills you should be using.

When I first became a coach, the best advice that I received said, "If you're not stealing drills, you're doing it wrong!" This lead me to hit the search engines and find a database of drills that would be better than the drills that I remembered from growing up as a player. I stumbled upon this website from Coach Bob Nielsen. He has numerous years of coaching experience and has great philosophies on how players learn.

I love this website because it has drills that are broken down by category and they are all very simple to understand and execute. In my beginning years of coaching, I referenced this all of the time before I was told about more databases to use. I still come back to Nielsen's website to get drills to this day.
