Downhill Circuit Warmup
Drill Overview
This drill focuses on developing quick releases, shooting in stride, and receiving passes while skating at game speed. The first player begins by receiving a pass from the coach and immediately releasing a shot on goal without stickhandling. After the shot, the player continues through the route around the cone, accelerates into open ice, and receives a second pass in stride before attacking the net for another quick shot. Players should keep their feet moving throughout the drill, present a good target with their stick, and release the puck as quickly as possible.
