Coaches need support.
A coach without guardrails from their organization, support from their peers on decision making, key evaluators to form their season plan or a philosophy to follow is a coach that is set up to fail.
So many times the coach will get the blame from the player or parent, but is their organization leaving them out to dry by putting them in a silo?
Organizations - What are you using to evaluate your coach's performance in a season? Are they aware of your checkpoints? Are you aware of their season plan?
Coaches - Do you have somewhere to turn? Direction on drills, a mentor platform, organizational support should be mandatory before you accept a role within a club
Parents - Are the decisions your coach is making their decision or the organizations philosophy? Are you clear on your coach's objectives? How are they meeting/not meeting those objectives or philosophies.
If these questions are not answered, the likelihood of issues developing is greater.
