Carla MacLeod, Head Coach of the PWHL’s Ottawa Charge, has stepped away from the team as she continues treatment for breast cancer.
MacLeod is a long time friend of The Coaches Site, having presented at TCS Live in Ann Arbor, taken part in panel discussion at the IIHF Coaching Symposium, and has been a guest on the Glass & Out Podcast.
The product of Spruce Grove, Alberta, is an incredible coach and an even better person, one the hockey world is rallying around.
Donations are being made to Breast Cancer Canada and The Coaches Site is proud to have donated $500 in MacLeod’s name.
MacLeod, who was a PWHL Coach of the Year finalist for helping Ottawa to last year’s Walter Cup Final, is leaving the Charge for an undetermined amount of time as she continues her treatment for breast cancer.
The organization is fully behind MacLeod as she focuses on her healthy and recovery.
