A split ice in the tradition of rotating stations to work on Quick Feet and Agility.

SET IT UP:

In one zone, set up 5 cones with a line of 2 and a line of 3 running board to board.

In the other zone, 2 nets, 2 cones, and 2 goalies.

RUN IT:

Zone 1 - the skaters will go:

2 times forward with no pucks

2 times forward to backward pivots

2 times forward with a puck

Work on good body positioning, good puck control, and moving.

Zone 2

Even lines on each side, facing the boards.

First skater wheels around the goal, and around their cone.

Second Skater goes and loops their cone, then on the return, they pick up a puck, skate it into the faceoff circle and pass to the first skater for a small angling shot.
