Creativity is the one skill Rudgard was never taught and he believes a lack of creativity can be a hockey player’s greatest weakness. During this 23-minute Global Skills Showcase presentation, Rudgard explains why creativity is the difference maker for players (and provides NHL examples to back up his argument), then gets into creating irrational decision making exercises that enforce creative thinking by forcing players to make decisions in as little time as possible, in different creative environments.
