Alternating Outside Edge Down the Line with Toe Tap

Drill Description:

Progression 1: With Toe Tap

  • Players perform alternating outside edges down the line with a toe tap of the free leg 3/4 around the half circle.

Progression 2: No Toe Tap

  • Players perform alternating outside edges down the line 3/4 around the half circle. 

Key Teaching Points:

  • Neutral start.
  • Good knee bend-positive shin angle.
  • Push onto a strong curve.
  • Keep foot back until toe tap.
  • Toe leads into the new circle.
  • Good second push.
