Head Coach
SCC Adler Berlin
2023-09-01 - 2026-04-30
Appointed as Program Head Coach, I lead the entire club structure—overseeing all teams, coaches, tactical alignment, and long-term player development. My role includes designing and implementing a unified coaching and development philosophy, ensuring age-appropriate progression across age groups from U7 to U20. I provide direct mentorship to team coaches, lead the integration of modern systems and skill development frameworks, and drive alignment with national standards such as the DEB Gold Star model. Originally joining to support the U17 Division 2 team after their promotion from Division 3, I played a key role in stabilizing performance at the higher level while setting the foundation for sustained club-wide growth
Assistant Coach
Carleton University - Women's Hockey
2017-08-01 - 2020-04-30
In my role as a volunteer assistant coach, I collaborated closely with the head coach, contributing to the planning, organisation, and execution of practices. My responsibilities extended to pre-game preparation, where I assisted in scouting and evaluating opposing teams. Specifically, I oversaw the development and tactical strategies for our defence, as well as the power play and penalty kill units. Beyond coaching duties, I served as the Head Scout and Recruiter for the program. In this capacity, I spearheaded recruitment efforts, resulting in over 35 players being successfully recruited into the program's future pipeline. I left the program as I was moving to Germany to follow a new career path.
Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Mentor
Nepean Wildcats - Girls Hockey Association
2012-09-01 - 2021-04-30
Over the course of eight seasons with the program, I held various coaching roles, primarily focused on teams at different age levels (U13, U15, and U18) across both the AA and A divisions. During the final three years, I played a pivotal role in developing and implementing a "Coach Mentorship" program. Through this initiative, we guided coaches in creating comprehensive long-term season plans and provided ongoing support and feedback to ensure a steadfast emphasis on player development. My tenure with the program was marked by notable achievements, including two provincial championships and over five city championships. 25+ players developed and recruited to NCAA D1/D3 and USports
Assistant Coach, Analytics and Video Coach
University of Ottawa - Men’s Hockey Program
2011-08-01 - 2014-04-30
After returning to Canada to complete my MBA, I joined the program as an assistant coach to a new head coach. In this role, I collaborated closely with the head coach, contributing to various responsibilities such as practice planning, game preparation, scouting, and recruitment efforts. Specifically, I oversaw the development of the defensemen and implemented strategic defensive structures and team tactics. Given the program's lack of dedicated resources in analytics and video analysis, I took the initiative to develop comprehensive processes in these areas. I assumed additional duties as the program's analytics and video coach, providing valuable insights and visual feedback to support the team's overall development and performance. Additionally, I was responsible for the fundraising and booster club events as well as working with the Alumni group to continue the program's legacy. 5 of the defenseman that I worked with went on to have successful pro careers in the AHL, ECHL and Europe
Head Coach
Ice Hockey Australia - U18 National Team
2007-06-01 - 2012-04-30
At the age of 21, I became the youngest ever head coach of the U18 national program, taking on the full breadth of responsibilities for the entire program. From scouting and player selection to coaching the team at multiple IIHF World U18 Championships, I oversaw all aspects of the program's operations. During this period of rebirth for the hockey program, the team claimed two Division 3 titles, culminating in maintaining a Division 2 status – a significant milestone for the program as we were used to promotion/relegation cycles. My duties encompassed comprehensive planning and management of team requirements, including funding, equipment, travel arrangements, and game logistics. Furthermore, I played a role in mentoring and developing coaches, with one of them ultimately succeeding me as the head coach upon my return to Canada.
