I am a proud OG of The Coaches Site. I've been in and around the game of hockey for over 50 years, strongly believing in both playing and coaching for the love of the game.  I played youth hockey and New England Prep in CT, college rec hockey and in various beer leagues including a CA State Amateur Championship in 1994. I come from a deeply rooted hockey family with both my father and Uncle having played NCAA Division One at St. Lawrence University and Dartmouth College respectively. My father later coached both youth and collegiate hockey. My own D1 passion didn't quite measure up to D1 skill, but I enjoyed three years playing soccer for St. Lawrence University and countless hours at Appleton Arena, often called the "best college barn" in America. I enjoyed a long career in corporate America, consulting to global organizations on connecting human capital strategy to business objectives and following, started coaching as a second career. Other highlights are included in my Coaching Profile, including highly valued time with the Anaheim Ducks Youth Hockey Organization. Having started coaching later in life, I have countless mentors to thank for all their help in “catching up fast” and for their guidance both on and off the ice. HIGHLIGHTS OF PERSONAL COACHING PHILOSOPHY

With a lifetime in and around ice hockey, I’m passionate about sharing the love of the game, paying it forward and fostering the many life lessons learned from sport. I believe coaching youth sports is a privilege, with an obligation to continually learn and grow, serving as teacher, mentor and ongoing student of the game. In turn, helping  young players to be the best they can be, both now and in the future, on and off the ice.
