Steve is a former NHL goalie coach, having spent time with the Toronto Maple Leafs and most recently the Seattle Kraken. He is also the owner of Canadian Professional Goalie Schools.
Steve has had a burning passion for goaltending since a ripe young age of 8. He grew up in Winnipeg where he played minor hockey until leaving home to play Juniors.
When Steve was 15, he moved away from home to begin playing Juniors in Trail, British Columbia. After Trail, he went on to play in the USHL for the Omaha Lancers and the Sioux City, Musketeers, before accepting a full scholarship to the University of Alabama-Huntsville (UAH).
After 3 years and a National Championship at UAH, Steve turned Pro, signing with the Boston Bruins organization and the Providence Bruins. Steve enjoyed a 9-year professional career, playing much of it in Fife, Scotland, where he met his wife, and started a family.
