Kim is an assistant coach with the NAHL’s Maryland Black Bears, and in June 2021 became the first female Junior Hockey bench coach in North America. Prior to her role with the Black Bears, Kim spent nine seasons with the AAA Washington Pride, holding various positions across the U14, U16 and U19 age groups, as well as specializing as an on-ice Skills Coach. During her playing career, Weiss was a member of the Trinity College varsity ice hockey team, serving as team captain her junior and senior years. In addition to leading her team to the NESCAC finals and an NCAA tournament, Kim was a four-time All-NESCAC recipient, and is currently the program’s all time leading scorer.
