I have many years in the hockey industry as a player, coach, and owner. I have strong organizational, self-management, leadership, analytical, systems, and communication skills. I am accustomed to operating hockey teams and organizations.

I played college hockey in the ACHA prior to pursuing a career at the minor-professional level. I have coaching experience in Varsity high school, Junior A, ACHA college, and minor-professional hockey. I am currently the head coach of the Kenowa Hills Varsity hockey team. I work with student athletes as an adjunct professor at Davenport University and Grand Valley State University, as well as the former tutor for all hockey teams at Davenport University.

The last five seasons at Kenowa Hills Varsity Hockey has been a huge success. I have rebuilt the program both on the ice with a conference championship, the largest upset in Michigan high school playoff history and winning multiple tournaments; as well as off the ice establishing a positive culture in the locker room and community. Kenowa Hills is recognized as a positive hockey program in Michigan more now than prior to my hiring.

I have an ‘open-door’ policy for my team; thus, allowing players and staff the opportunity to speak with me about anything. It is important to establish a culture of inclusiveness and individual responsibility. I have assisted with players’ growth as not only hockey players, but personally as well. It is my responsibility to build a program that exudes successful qualities that all players are proud to be a member of.
