Matthew Bourgeois has been a coach and a scout for over 20 years at some of the highest levels. He is currently coaching at Canisius College NCAA D1. Matthew is a certified High Performance 1 coach and Goaltending Level 3 coach with Hockey Canada who works with the Ontario Hockey Federation, the Ontario Minor Hockey Association and Northern Ontario Minor Hockey Association as a Goaltending Coach and mentor.

Gold is the highest level of goalie coach accreditation available through USA Hockey. Select candidates are chosen based on a white paper project that will improve hockey in the greater US.

Level 3 Goaltending

Goaltending Level 3 is the highest level of goaltending accreditation offered by Hockey Canada. It is a 1 year program where they test your knowledge on development, techniques and tactics

HP1

Hockey Canada

The HP1 program or level 4 is the entry level coaching certification program provided by Hockey Canada. The HP1 is a year long course focused on holistic coach development, where you will develop and share an annual plan focusing on team, staff and individual development.
