In ice hockey, The Wings or Wingers, have a primary coverage area that focuses on their respective sides of the ice, while also supporting the center and contributing defensively. 

The Left Winger typically covers the left side, and the Right Winger covers the right side. 

They also play a key role in defensive zone coverage, focusing on blocking passing lanes and preventing opponents from gaining access to the high slot.

On entering the defensive zone, the Wings should remain moveable and ready to take the puck and "break out" on a moments notice should the puck come to them.
