Edmonton, Alberta | August 6-8, 2026

In Edmonton, hockey isn’t an event on the calendar, it’s part of the city’s pulse.

In the summer of 2026, The Coaches Site (TCS) is moving its flagship coaching conference, TCS Live, to the City of Champions. Set against the backdrop of the Hlinka Gretzky Cup, one of hockey’s most prestigious international tournaments featuring the top U18 prospects in the world, TCS Live Edmonton is poised to become the most impactful hockey coaching event ever held.

For The Coaches Site, this move is more than a change of location. It's a unique opportunity to gather all of the top thought leaders in the game in one location.

Founded to give hockey’s top coaches, leaders, and performance experts a place to share their experience, The Coaches Site has grown into a trusted global platform used by the game’s most accomplished minds. Its mission remains clear: create better coaches, better environments, and ultimately a better experience for young athletes.

Edmonton offers the perfect stage combining world-class infrastructure with deep hockey roots.

With a major international airport, state-of-the-art NHL facilities, the vibrant ICE District, and an abundance of hotels and restaurants, Edmonton is uniquely equipped to host a truly global coaching community. Add in Rogers Place, the Downtown Community Arena, and the JW Marriott Edmonton ICE District, and the environment mirrors the ambition of the event itself.

Running August 6-8, 2026, TCS Live Edmonton will coincide with the Hlinka Gretzky Cup, which features the world’s top NHL Draft-eligible talent from countries including Canada, Sweden, Finland, the United States, Czechia, Slovakia, Switzerland, and others by invitation. The tournament regularly attracts hockey’s top leaders, scouts, and decision-makers, creating an unmatched convergence of coaching, competition, and connection.

A ticket to TCS Live Edmonton includes access to all main stage and on-ice presentations, curated networking activations, a social event, NCCP Professional Development Points, and a ticket to attend a Hlinka Gretzky Cup semifinal game. The event is built as a masterclass in coaching, blending keynotes, interviews, and on-ice sessions that serve coaches at every stage of their journey.

“We believe the people best equipped to educate coaches are other coaches,” said Aaron Wilbur, Founder of The Coaches Site. “The best coaches are lifelong learners and understand that their personal development precedes the development they offer their athletes. The opportunity to host TCS Live alongside the Hlinka/Gretzky Cup sets the stage for the most impactful coaching conference EVER.”

That belief is backed by experience. Over the past four years, TCS Live has welcomed more than 1,000 distinct attendees, with over 60 percent first-time participants and more than 200 returning delegates who have attended multiple events. Coaches and speakers have traveled from 13 different countries, and more than 60 percent of attendees in 2025 flew to the event, reinforcing TCS Live as a true destination experience.

With Alberta and British Columbia among The Coaches Site’s most active regions and direct flights into Edmonton from Canada’s most populated coaching markets, the 2026 event is positioned to reach more coaches than ever before.

Ticket details for TCS Live Edmonton will be announced in the coming weeks. With demand expected to be high and capacity limited, coaches are encouraged to stay connected with The Coaches Site for early access information, pricing updates, and important event announcements.

More details on registration, schedules, and programming will be released soon as the countdown to Edmonton begins.
