Starting a brand new skills sessions with hockey players you've never met in an age group in which you might not have experience can be downright intimidating. There will be lots of parents watching, no doubt, so you're going to want to get this right. It's easy to complicate things.
That's why we built a season-long U11 handbook to get your team organized.

It's important to start with something universal, and who doesn't love a game of keepaway? This will help you gauge where the group is at before you split up into stations. It will be chaotic, but the kids will love it.
Once everyone is warmed up then you can move into skating before finishing up with some compete games. This plan is the first in our U11 Competitive Minor Hockey Curriculum, which is completely free! This is just the first of 40 practice plans!
