Over the summer we collaborated with University of Michigan Head Coach Brandon Naurato on a course designed to take thinking away when shooting the puck. As of the second week of January 2026 the University of Michigan is the highest ranked team in college hockey.

And we have their coach here to teach your players how to score goals. Players like Nashville Predators defenceman and UofM alum Nick Blankenburg.

Check out Mastering Pro Shot Selection & Goal Scoring.

Nick Blankenburg is a young player only a couple years removed from Michigan. He's enjoying a solid season on the blue line with the Nashville Predators. Nick is averaging between 3 and 4 shots per game, which is an impressive total. In the clips above you can see how relaxed he looks under pressure on the point. He's shooting through triangles, he's pushing the puck, he's pulling and shooting. These focus elements are all covered in Brandon's course, so it's pretty neat to see them in action in the best league on Earth.

Keep it up Nick!
