PYRY LUKKARILA, Head of Coach Development, Finnish Ice Hockey Association

Pyry Lukkarila has established himself as an experienced and premier hockey figure in Finland across a variety of skill levels and organizations. A respected authority on ice hockey in Finland, Lukkarila is currently working for the Finnish Ice Hockey Association as the Head of Coach development. Prior to his current position, Lukkarila served as a Senior Director of Coaching for a burgeoning club team in southern Finland, as well as a coach for teams ranging from the U6 through U20 age divisions. Lukkarila’s experience and accomplishments can be attributed to his strong educational background gained at the University of Jyväskylä where he earned his Master's Degree in Sport Pedagogy, with a minor in coaching and physiological testing.

PAUL VINCENT, Founder & Head Skills Coach, PV Hockey

Paul Vincent is the Head Skills Instructor for the NHL’s Florida Panthers and the Founder of PV Hockey. Having previously worked with Florida, Tampa Bay, Chicago, Boston and New Jersey, Vincent is a world renowned leader in the Skating and Skills Development field and is regarded as one of the best in the industry. Both a Stanley Cup Champion and NCAA Champion Coach, Vincent has achieved everything a skills coach could ask for over the past 30+ years. Coach Vincent spends his summers training and developing young talent from all over North America and has worked with a who’s who of elite players, such as Patrick Kane, Jonathon Toews, Patrick Sharp, Dustin Byfuglien, Adam Oates, Keith Yandle, Brent Sopel, Lee Stempniak and many more.

JUSSI AHOKAS, Head Coach, Kitchener Rangers

Jussi Ahokas is the Head Coach of the OHL’s Kitchener Rangers. With 20 consecutive years of head coaching experience under his belt, Ahokas is known as one of the most decorated bench bosses in European professional hockey. He was named the Alliance of European Hockey Clubs’ (EHC) Coach of the Year across Europe’s top professional hockey leagues in 2019-20. On the international stage, Ahokas has earned two prominent Gold Medals while serving as the Head Coach of Team Finland: he was the Head Coach of Team Finland when it defeated Team USA to capture the Gold Medal at the 2019 IIHF World Juniors, and was also the Head Coach when Finland defeated Sweden to capture the Gold Medal at the 2016 IIHF World U18 Championships. Ahokas also spent four seasons as Head Coach with Finnish Elite League (Liiga), winning the Kalevi Numminen Trophy, given to Liiga’s Coach of the Year, in 2019-20.

TED SUIHKONEN, Director of Player Development, EV Zug

Ted Suihkonen is the Director of Player Development with EV Zug, a role he’s held for nearly two years. Prior to that, Suihkonen had been the Director of Player Development with HC Lokomotiv for five seasons. Suihkonen, one of the most well-respected leaders in our game when it comes to player development, played professionally in Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, and Germany, before becoming the Head Coach of the U17 national team in Norway. Suihkonen worked his way up to HC Lokomotiv, along the way earning his masters in neuroscience. This led to the launch a new venture called Neuro Hockey, which aims to provide coaches knowledge on developing game intelligence and enhancing skill acquisition.

TIM TURK, NHL Shooting and Scoring Coach, Tim Turk Hockey

Tim Turk is an NHL Shooting and Scoring coach, who specializes in hockey shooting, passing and puck preparation & control, while also teaching the technical aspects and strategies of puck protection. Turk has worked with five NHL organizations (Montreal Canadiens, Tampa Bay Lightning, Carolina Hurricanes, Arizona Coyotes and Calgary Flames), and many National Programs overseas. Turk continues to work with NHL players, but also works with many organizations, minor hockey teams, coaches and players of all ages and levels. From a growing need and an extensive amount of experience, Turk has created his own Hockey Development Company known as ‘Tim Turk Hockey’ and has also recently developed an online training website along with other services enabling players to access his training from anywhere in the world.

PETER BOHUNICKY, Founder & Head Skills Coach, BP Hockey Academy

Peter Bohunicky is the Founder & Head Skills Coach of BP Hockey Academy and a skills coach with the NHL’s Florida Panthers. He possesses a thorough understanding of hockey coaching and running management operations of hockey camps all over Europe, including 14 years of coaching on international tournaments in USA and Canada. Bohunicky has 25 years of experience as a General Manager and Head Skills Coach of a year-long hockey school with a focus on player development. Bohunicky has coached a plethora of NHL players, such as Marian Gaborik, Marian Hossa (Chicago), and Tomas Tatar (Detroit), alongside budding prospects like Juraj Slafkovsky & Filip Mesar).

CODY ROYLE, Coach of Head Coaches

Cody Royle is a High Performance Leadership Coach, author and podcast host. He coaches coaches and currently has 17 head coaches from six teams in five different countries on his roster. Royle, who believes the greatest source of competitive advantage available 
in professional sports is the optimization of the head coach, has worked with the Toronto Raptors, Newcastle Knights, Arsenal and teams in the Premier League. His singular goal is to put strategies and structures in place to ensure that coaches are not just able to give a singular championship performance, but become capable of building a juggernaut.

BRIAN SLUGOCKI, Founder & Head Skills Coach, Slugocki Hockey

Brian Slugocki has been playing and working in hockey for nearly 30 years. His current roles include Director of Skill Development for the Jr. Coyotes youth program, Skill Development Consultant for the NHL Arizona Coyotes and prospects, Head Coach of a 10u elite team, Skills Coach for Total Package Hockey (TPH) and he runs private and small group training for youth players up to NHL players through his company Slugocki Hockey.
