All of my players can crossover. Many of them can do a solid punch turn. But combining the two into an effective skating fake is often hard for them. Crossing over in one direction and then cutting back, either on your inside edge or with a punch cut, can be a very effective move to catch the defender going the wrong way in hockey. It sounds quite easy to do, but as I've experienced the last couple of months in my club, for many it's not as easy as it sounds! In this video I break down this combination of movements and then build it back up for you, as well as for the players at my home club: HC Landsberg in Germany! Have fun practicing!
