Description
- A defenceman retrieves a puck below the bottom of the circle
- F1 provides pressure (70%)
- F2 provides inside support or second quick support
- F3 skates through the strong side dot
- The defenceman retrieves, F1 forechecks, retrieves puck, passes to F3 for shot
Key Points
- F1 & F2 race to the net after the pass to retrieve rebounds
- F1 forechecks with their stick blade on their strong side (righties put their stick to the LEFT side of the D-man)
- Tough drill for the D, but they should still get comfortable shoulder checking to see where pressure is coming from
